Dear Very Little and Little Ones! I have brought you some more balance games.
Balance exercises improve large movements, help focus, develop sense-organs, and following the rhythm of steady rhymes contributes to better coordination.
This time we will sway.
Choose a rhyme that your child is familiar with, and clap its rhythm. Stand on your feet and put your balance on your toes and then sway back on your heel, following the rhythm. In the beginning, you can help your child holding hands.
Then choose another rhyme, stand in a stride position with your legs open, clap the rhythm and sway from side to side.
You can also sway forth and back to a rhythm holding your hands or a toy high, over your head.
If you are doing these exercises great, you can also try to lift up your legs when swaying. Lift the right leg to the right when your body sways to the left, and lift the left leg when you sway to the right. Start with small lifts and then you can go higher and higher.
To finish, place some empty bottles on the ground and try to turn them over, using your legs – first the right one, then the left one.
You can also place some beans or lentils in the bottles, using two fingers. Then talk about which one has more, which one has less, which contains a lot, which one just a few.
I wish you a pleasant time and lots of fun 🙂
